Yeah I just went to go see this on youtube. Makes more sense. Good work mate.
At first I was going to brush this off as something generic, but I'm glad I stuck around long enough to watch it all. Truly sir, I found it rather indulging in its entirety. Rather than to lay some dull joke or other way to quick fame, you handed us a firm form of reality. To you sir, thank you, and keep up the good work.
Not really sure why advertising seems to be okay. And if you're gonna advertise, please for the love of god, go find someone that can speak english. Its not hard.
Clever and a gem in the works
I give this a 10 not for what it is right now, but what it will be.
Several suggestions that some may have suggested, but here they are.
A UI return button, though it is simple to just drag them off their little square I had a few issues at the Brock fight where they would not return. A little button that you drag them to would be excellent. The capturing system is interesting but could be a little more polished. Mostly as other people have said, once your pokemon get to a certain point, they might be overshooting the damage. There needs to be a bit of a tweak there to make it not easier, but a little more accessible.
The dialogue could be improved on, but it sticks to the dorkiness that was pokemon, so we can't really complain.
Aside from that, it has the potential to be great, though I say I am sorry it got suspended from the android marketplace, I am glad that you have come to newgrounds.
Best of luck in this masterpiece in progress.
For starters, I like the concept.
Level design, the levels look like they were constructed for a smaller character. And due to this factor, the ability to phase through ceilings is constant. The character has no actual contact other than the bottom of it. He tends to go straight through the ceilings giving him no actual mass. That is probably the greatest down fall of it.
Other than that a simple platformer with a new twist. Good idea just needs a tad bit of polishing.
Needs a little tuning
As people have said before me, The art is well done, the movements are nice, its got a consistent style, and decent physics.
Though there were some faults I did find.
-As people have said it is pretty repetative, could throw in more obstacles to make it a little more challenging.
-The flowers? You get more points for those? I might as well just fire like a madman and whether or not they hit I'd still be gaining points. There should be a penalty of some sort, or a limited amount of shots, so you aren't obligated to go Rambo on the situation.
-Sure it has some nice physics. I played for a while, but after a while it all meshed together. Throw in some curve balls to make it a little harder. Even when I hit the blue guys, it really didn't make much of a difference other than slowing it down. May be something that stops the cannon all together?
Overall, its a pretty decent game. Has a good theme, but doesn't quite match other side shooters. When making a game, you need to see what others have done, and find a way to improve it if you are going to make a game based on others.
